By accessing and using easyformatswap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
2. Description of Service
easyformatswap provides free, browser-based file format conversion tools including:
- Image Converter (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC)
- PDF Converter (PDF to Images, PDF to Text, Images to PDF)
- Media Converter (Audio and Video transcoding via ffmpeg.wasm)
- Unit Converter (Length, Weight, Temperature, Currency)
- Compress Tool (Image and PDF compression)
All conversions are processed locally in your browser. No files are uploaded to or stored on any remote server.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Service to process illegal, infringing, or malicious content
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service in a manner that imposes unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without explicit permission
4. Intellectual Property
The easyformatswap website, including its HTML, CSS, JavaScript code, design, layout, and branding, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for personal or commercial purposes but may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Service itself.
The Service integrates open-source libraries (libheif, pdf.js, pdf-lib, ffmpeg.wasm, browser-image-compression) which are subject to their own respective licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, LGPL, etc.). Their use does not imply endorsement by their authors.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Conversions will produce results that meet your specific requirements
- All file formats will be supported across all browsers and devices
- Converted files will be free from quality loss or corruption
We recommend keeping backups of your original files before using any conversion tool.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, easyformatswap and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to data loss, file corruption, or business interruption.
Because all processing occurs locally on your device, you retain full control over your files at all times.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service loads open-source libraries from third-party CDN providers (jsdelivr.net) to enable conversion functionality. While we select reputable providers, we are not responsible for the availability or security of these external resources.
8. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.
